After Iraq

I had the pleasure of working on a series of stories about the end of the Iraq war. I met some brave and amazing individuals. Some were trying to fit back into their old lives and overcome what they returned with. Others struggle with moving on from the loss of their family. It was truly an eye opening experience to see not only what soldiers go through, but also their loved ones. Here are some from the series.

Becoming a Monk

January 4, 2012 | Category: Uncategorized | 1 Comment

I got to photograph the first day of a two day ceremony where seven men became ordained as Buddhist monks through the Burmese Buddhist Association of Chicago. Everyone was so kind and willing to share their stories with me. It was truly fascinating and I am so glad I got to be on hand for the celebration.
