Watermelons!!!

Today was pretty relaxing. I had to go feature hunt and wanted to see some of the other towns that we cover, but haven’t gotten a chance to visit a whole lot. I drove to Ferdinand, IN about ten minutes outside of Jasper. I wanted to see the church located in the center of the town so I headed that way. When I got there, kids were running to and from the graveyard. I found out it was a vacation bible school.

I made some pictures of that, but then hopped back in my car and came across this man and his grandson selling watermelon and cantelope on the side of the road. I had to stop. He was really nice and told me about how he couldn’t work because a coulpe of weeks ago he fell off a horse and broke 5 ribs and had a colapsed lung! He was board so his brother got him some fruit to sell…Crazy huh!
