A Slow Day of Exploring

I came into work without any assignments today so I started researching story ideas. I seemed to get nowhere fast. I kept brainstorming and couldn’t think of anything so I took a long drive and searched for a feature. I explored some new terrane, but sadly was unable to find a soul out and about except for a few people taking care of their yards. I would have stopped, but nothing caught my eye. The only thing that had caught my eye the whole day was how beautiful the sky was so when I found a cemetery in a small town outside of Jasper I had to stop and take a picture. Here it is…

You embrace that which defines you.

When I moved to North Carolina I was amazed at the number of small graveyards there are. Most have about 20 graves and they sit close to an occupied trailer or old home. It seems that every few miles there’s another graveyard sitting right next to the kid’s swing set or the family car. I keep thinking it would make a great (and bizarre) coffee table book. Great images I really enjoy them.
