Kiddieland

I got to cover the closing of Kiddieland in Melrose Park, Ill.  It was one of the last small amusement parks in the region.  It felt like the end of an era in many ways.  So sad to see it go to the bigger theme parks out their.  Here some shots from the last day and a few from days before.

    Love that Scrambler photo! Reminds me of when I used to hide in my mom’s arms while riding it at the carnival. It was always my favorite ride.

    It is sad to find this out. My dad used to take us to Kiddieland every year when we were kids. when we got older he started taking us to Six Flags Great America. Sad sad news.
