Christmas Parade

I covered the 57th annual Christmas Parade today. It was windy and a mild 30 degrees. I thought my hands were gonna fall off. I got there early and saw this group of kids on unicycles. After the parade started I waited for them and this is what I got. They’re the Andover One Wheelers Unicycle Team. I thought they were pretty cool.

It was such a powerful day and night in New Hampshire. The Democrats won every major race. It was exciting to be a part of and get to cover. Here are some images from the day.

Bill Clinton

I got to take pictures of former president Bill Clinton at a “Unite for Change” Rally for Barack Obama and New Hampshire Democrats on Sunday. This was the first time I’ve covered any big political figures. It was fun, but interesting how the secret service controls it and is so meticulous with everything. Here’s some from the event.

American Girls Fashion Show

My boss Alex thought this would make a good feature and I’m so glad he did. I showed up at the perfect time…In between the actual fashion show. I was back stage right before these girls went out for the final part of the show. I had a great time and it made me feel like a kid again.

Field Hockey

I never thought I’d be covering field hockey. I’ve never even seen it played before. It’s pretty fun to shoot though! It’s always happening during the best part of the day and that equals great light. I still don’t understand how it works, but I’m learning.

I’m so excited to be in my new home. I just arrived the other day and got an apartment. I start work at the Concord Monitor on Monday and I hope to unpack before then. In the meantime here’s a photo.

Last Freelance in Louisville

I shot my last freelance assignment for the Courier-Journal tonight. I need to pack and prepare for my new adventure, but I also need more money. I had a great time though. This was a middle school volleyball tournament for two different neighborhood sections and I really had to focus and make several solid images. I think I turned in about 30 images. It was good practice since I’ll be shooting a lot of prep sports in Concord. Anyways, here are three I liked. I hope all is well.
